iOS: How to integrate Crystal with Siri

If you’re using Siri on an iOS mobile device, you can get insights from crystal faster by integrating your crystal advisor with Siri, making your data more seamlessly at your fingertips. This article outlines how to manage the integration and create shortcuts.

Adding a general shortcut

To add a general shortcut, start by opening your crystal app on your iOS device, then pressing the Settings button in the top right corner of your advisor. Select the Create Shortcut tab, then click the Add to Siri button. This lets you ask general questions to Siri, without needing to specify a specific topic.

Now, rather than navigating to the crystal app and opening it, you can simply tell Siri to ask you about that specific topic by saying, “Hey Siri, ask crystal":

Once Siri responds, ask your question and wait a few seconds for crystal to give your answer directly to Siri:

If you don't know what to ask crystal, don't worry: in a few seconds, she will suggest you some useful questions to start from.

Adding a shortcut for a specific topic

You can also add a shortcut to a specific topic.

Start by opening your crystal app on your iOS device, then ask crystal a question in the advisor and expand the answer, by pressing the Expand button in the bottom corner of the topic card:

From here, press the ellipsis icon in the top right corner, then press Siri integration:

Your shortcut is almost ready. Check the phrase that will trigger this specific topic, then click on Done to confirm:

Now, rather than navigating to the crystal app and opening it, you can simply tell Siri to ask you about that specific topic by saying, “Hey Siri, what are my opportunities overtime by category?”

Editing & deleting shortcuts

You can edit a shortcut at any time by pressing the Add to Siri button. You can then edit which phrase you want to say to trigger the conversation or add a follow-up question for crystal once the conversation is started:

When finished, press Save Shortcut:

Likewise, you can turn off the integration between Siri and crystal at any time by pressing the Added to Siri button, then pressing Delete Shortcut.
